Iranian food refers to the traditional and modern styles of cooking originating in Iran. Persian cuisine is ancient, varied and cosmopolitan. Eating habits and products from ancient Greece, Rome and many Asian and Mediterranean cultures have influenced by this unique cuisine.
Typical Persian main dishes are combination of rice with meat, lamb, chicken, or fish and some onion, vegetables, nuts, and herbs.

To achieve a balanced taste, characteristic Persian flavorings such as saffron is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, dried limes ( Citrus aurantifulia), Berberis, cinnamon, and parsley are mixed delicately and used in some special dishes.  Some popular food in this country such as:
 Qormeh Sabzi consisting mainly of parsley, leeks or green onions, coriander and meat,
Ash e reshte consisting mainly of reshteh (thin noodles), kashk (a whey-like, fermented dairy product), herbs such as parsley, spinach, dill, spring onion ends and sometimes coriander.

 Kebab, may be served with either steamed, saffroned or Persian rice  and you can different types of this food find in iran.
 Gheymeh, consisting mainly of meat, tomatoes, split peas, onion and dried lime.
 Fesenjan, consisting mainly of poultry (chicken),Pomegranate juice, walnuts
 Bademjan, consisting mainly of Eggplant, Lamb, Tomato, Saffron
 Tahchin consisting mainly of rice, yogurt, saffron, egg, and chicken fillets. It is also possible to use vegetables, fish, or meat instead of the chicken fillets.
Dolma consisting mainly of fruits, meats, and/or vegetables with rice stuffed in grape leaves, but sometimes also served in peppers or tomatoes

Black tea is a popular beverage, generally taken relaxation and super-strong.
In the summer season you can find fruit or flower syrups, such as Reyhan, Khakeshi, that very ice and other non alcoholic drinks as Golab, Bidmeshk, Nastaran, Bahar Narenj, … that named Arrak are plenty in Kashan and Shiraz cities. also Doogh, a cold drink made from yogurt and mineral water, is also well worth trying.

Baklava, a sweet, flaky pastry filled with chopped almonds and pistachios soaked in honey-flavored rose water;
Nan-e berenji (rice cookies), made of rice flour flavored with cardamom and garnished with poppy seeds;
Nan-e nokhodchi (chickpea cookies), made of chick-pea flour flavored with cardamom and garnished with pistachios
Nan-e badami (almond cookies), made of almond flour flavored with cardamom and rose water;
Nan-e gerdui (walnut cookies), made of walnut flour flavored with cardamom and garnished with pistachio slivers;
Noghls (sugar-coated almonds); and
Sohan asali (honey almonds), cooked with honey and saffron and garnished with pistachios
Faloodeh thin vermicelli-sized noodles mixed in a semi-frozen syrup made from sugar and rose water that is similar to a sorbet
Gaz (sugar or corn syrup, pistachio or almond kernels, rosewater, egg whites)

Lavashak (FRUIT ROLL UP or FRUIT LEATHER) There are Extract or Concentrate of different types of fruits peanuts, apricots, plums, kiwis that can be used, and thin to dry.
Torshi which means ‘sour’ consist of different fruite, vegtebles, garlic, brine or vinegar, example Torshi Liteh,Torshi Bandari


Iranian Breads:
Iranians use a variety of breads consist of Wheat flour, Sour dough such as Barbari,sangak,Taftun ,Lavash y etc) The bread is baked on a bed of small river stones in an oven(,Lavash,Taftoon … and this breads  was eaten every morning for breakfast.

Eating Time:
breakfast time between 7 to 9 A.M
lunch time between 12:30 to 14 A.M , lunch is the biggest meal of the day.
dinner time between 8 to 10 P.M
